It's hard to believe Settlers Tavern is in its 37th consecutive year of business. Time flies when you're having fun!

Back in 2003, Karen and I had the opportunity to take on this venerable Margaret River institution, along with its extended local family.

There's our crew, and our local community; our suppliers, our tradies and musicians. There's our landlord, Settlers Holdings, who's become our good friend and supporter. And there's Dave Youngs, the consummate professional sound engineer, who has mixed literally thousands of Settlers' gigs over the years.

There are those who came before us. Preston (aka "Hoisty") has been in it for a long time now and is never too far away. The locals will always remember "Robbo" who left too soon, and friends we've lost along the way who have touched the Tavern.

All of these people hold a special place in the life of their tavern; having made their own contribution to the unique place Settlers is today.

We are grateful to our extended Margaret River family who have helped make the past 10 years some of the best years of our lives.

In the last decade alone, we've welcomed nearly 2 million guests through our doors. We staged over 2000 live music shows. We've served enough beer to float the First Fleet, and enough meals to feed a sellout crowd at Subi Oval, 20 times over. And these days, we serve a lot of fine Margaret River wine too.

We all work hard at the Tav, but most importantly we love what we do here. We enjoy the satisfaction that comes from working hand in hand, with a great team, to make people happy every day.

Going forward, we are fully committed to continually raising the bar and serving the needs of our extraordinary town.

With more new dining options than ever, Margaret River is attracting the attention of foodies everywhere. This year alone, we've seen the addition of Swings Tap House, Mikis Open Kitchen, El Rio and Katchup, joining exciting newcomers like La Scarpetta and Morries Anytime. Even so, you will find all these places packed on many a night, as Margaret River just keeps getting busier. As they say, a rising tide lifts all boats.

Here at Settlers Tavern we're busy tuning things up for the year ahead.

Our 70 plus team members are ready to welcome you anytime, and make sure you're looked after when you're here. Our fireplaces are lit, and the espresso machine is warmed-up. We won't make you wait too long for your meal, and you can stay as long as you like; well almost!

We'll make more small-batches of craft beer at our own microbrewery, the Margaret River Ale Company. Our range now includes American style Pale Ale, India Pale Ale, White Ale and European Pilsner, with seasonal brews to come.

As Chef Rick Houston gets stuck into our authentic American Yoder BBQ, we'll be offering a hearty range of regional American cooking, like Texas Beef Brisket and St. Louise style Pork Ribs. Delicious stuff if you haven't yet tried it!

Whilst your favourite pub classics will remain on our menu, Rick and the team will create some exciting new dishes. And, if you like our Monday Korean Specials, Chef Teddy will soon be back at the stove when he returns from paternity leave. Congratulations Teddy!

There will be more exciting things to come, but one thing is for sure; Settlers Tavern will be here for you, your family and your friends; just like it has been for the past 37 years. So please join us; we'd love to see you!
