2014 Australian Hotels Association Awards Gala

On Monday the 10th of November the AHA-Aon Hotel & Hospitality Awards for Excellence were held to celebrate and acknowledge excellence in the hotel and hospitality industry at the Crown Casino in Perth.

The Settlers Tavern crew were honoured to attend the celebrations during which we received three awards and a commendation.

Celebrating back-to-back success, Settlers Tavern was again awarded 'Best Live Entertainment Venue' alongside Perth Arena. It's a fantastic credit to the hard work of our newly appointed Entertainment Coordinator Gilly, and the team who time and time again transform the bistro into an incredible music venue.

Settlers Tavern's invaluable community support, fundraising and charity involvement were kindly recognised with the 'Community Service Award'. Rob, Karen and the teams' passion for a variety of charitable groups continues with a particular interest in the MR Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service and the MR Primary School Music Program.

Michael Priest, our beloved Bistro Manager, received a high commendation for his 'Excellence in Service'. Michael is a longstanding member of the Settlers family and we are very proud of his efforts and recognitions.

WA's Best Regional Hospitality Venue, what a fantastic credit to the team at Settlers Tavern!
At the conclusion of the evening's celebrations three overall awards were presented; Perth's Best Hospitality Venue went to the Cottesloe Beach Hotel, WA's Best Hospitality Venue went to Print Hall and the WA's Best Regional Hospitality Venue was awarded to Settlers Tavern. Unforgettably, all twenty members of the team celebrated wildly when our venue was announced, and proudly attended the stage to collect and celebrate the honour together.

We'd like to thank the hard working and ever growing team at Settlers Tavern for all their contributions. We would also like to congratulate all finalists and award winners for 2014. Standards are ever increasing and the calibre of hospitality venues celebrated that evening are a good indication of what to expect in the future.
