Jay Hoad Sunday Session

Jay Hoad (Fiji) Sunday Session

Sunday 2nd April, 3pm. Free entry

Jay Hoad is bringing his unique show back to WA in April as he makes his way around the globe once again, launching his new album "Off the Cuff". This will be the only chance to catch Jay in Margaret River for 2017, he'll be performing 2 very contrasting shows at Settlers Tavern on Sun Apr 2nd, and again on Fri Apr 7th.

Last year Hoad was awarded the prestigious "ABRA Blues and Roots Album of the Year" with his latest release. This year Hoad wanted to bring the show to as many regional towns as possible, literally weaving around the entire coast of Australia from start to finish as well as Fiji, India, Nepal, Thailand and Indonesia, with 210 shows across 7 countries scheduled for the year, as well as some huge festival performances just announced.

"Yeah, we just love to bring the show to locations that don't really have touring artists to often, and this year's tour features so many weird and wonderful instruments that it really gives the fans a chance and to hear and see something cool, new and unique."

Hoad has recently launched his new Videoblog "On Tour with Jay " on youtube. The series is an intimate documentary on Jay's life on the road. The first 3 episodes were shot in the Whitsundays, and upcoming episodes have already been filmed over the past month in QLD, NSW and Fiji, with filming also scheduled for the WA leg of the tour in the upcoming months.

Says Jay "I'm very excited about this year's tour, so many cool locations and festivals on the various legs, and really excited to bring the new tunes and instruments to the fans around Australia and beyond. My favourite instruments on this tour are probably the Cricket Bat Guitar, Shovel Guitar and the Steam Punk Guitar which are made from car parts, shovels, kitchen sinks, etc and sound incredible!!"
